Help needed with MYSQL.

Ive setup a website, got everything working and all that. ive got it running of a database. But when i load up the page i get this:

Warning: mysql_pconnect() [function.mysql-pconnect]: Access denied for user: 'admin@localhost' (Using password: YES) in D:\appliance\Connections\currys.php on line 9

Fatal error: Access denied for user: 'admin@localhost' (Using password: YES) in D:\appliance\Connections\currys.php on line 9

Im new to MYSQL, so any help would be great. Thanks.

Clearly it is what it is. The username or password or both are incorrect. Or they are correct but the username and password have no permissions set inside mysql to allow it to do anything.

The only other cause of this is if mysql is crashing and hasnt enough memory to work, i have seen this a couple of times.

Basicaly ive had about 3 weeks training within my company, starting from the basics of getting data all the way upto making the site. But then the guy who was training me, left before he could start training me on the server side of stuff, mysql, and all that. So when it comes to mysql im a complete newbie. So any help on the sql part of stuff would be great, like setting the persmissions an stuff like that.

If you are using CPanel, then click on mysql databases and make sure you've added the user that you're logging in with and that the user has permission for everything. Check the name - sometimes it's not what you think it is, as it can be prefixed with the main username and an underscore.

Just noticed that your php file is on your d: drive - does this mean that your php file is on your local pc and the database is on a remote server?

It maybe that the mysql database is setup to expect the user to be on the server too - could be worth uploading the php pages to your server and running them from there via your web browser.
