  Tracking Errors and Frames

I have always had traffic errors, I put most down to bots etc.
But I have noticed lately quite a few coming from sites that have framed my pages.
Not necessarily hijacked pages, but

One for instance is lycos, I’m not sure how to analyse these.

I get zillions of cookies installed when going through lycos search and then onward to my merchant. So anyhow I put a simple js code to jump out of frames.

Cookies are not bypassed by doing this but when clicked with js jump out script cookies can be read, (I tested a few times on sites with no jump out script and browser will not allow me to open cookies) I put the jump out script in place on some of my pages, sure enough I can open cookie scripts

So of course I’m left wondering if framed pages are causing tracking errors?

In other words with no js jump out script I can see the cookie but cannot open, with js jump out script I can open the file and verify.

I’m left wondering what’s happening at the other end, ie merchant/network site.

Anybody noticed this before?

(I know not many use lycos but...)
