finding out hidden url

theres a link, something like url.something.com/12

its like one of them tinyurl's where you enter your real url and it shortens it. Thing is how do I find the actual url its being redirected to? Dont say click on it

It has variables being sent that i want to see! Tried to open it in notepad but it wont, any ideas?

failing that quick way is via IE..

just click on the link then click

VIEW in the tool bar and then click PRIVACY REPORT in the menu that drops down

and hey presto you can see each hop made and cookie set

Sam Spade for Windows is pretty good http://www.samspade.org/ssw/ you just enter a URL into the Web box and you see all the headers sent by the server and from that you can see where it redirects to etc.

Yup, I use SamSpade for Windows too. A great tool for following URLs through all sorts of sneaky redirects.
