Mac Users Please Help - Does the Video Work for You?

Hi All

I have just put up a test wmv file for a web design customer (motivational speaking site).

I would like to know whether the wmv file will be viewable on Macs (I don't think it will be ...). If you have a Mac, please could you tell me whether you can view the video at:

http://www.manleytalks.com/video3.htm

It's a 2Mb file which should autostart.

Please let me know which version of the Mac OS and which browser version you are using.

Many thanks

Accelerator

I can test it for you when I get home in a couple of hours, I have Windows Media Player installed on my Mac and am pretty sure I have watched wmvs online before on it, but I'll test it anyway when I get in...

No luck at my end - Running OS X 10.4.5, tested in FireFox, Safari and Camino. It loads up the Windown Media Player for me, but just fails to play the video...

Thanks guys.

Kris - When you visit the page is Windows Media Player being launched as a standalone application? Or are you saying you can see the player controls embedded on the page but they don't do anything?

I don't suppose either of you have Internet Explorer for Mac on your machines (or is that sacrilege)?

Thanks for your help guys, appreciated.

I see the embeded controls, it starts playing for like half a second (stop changes to pause) and then stops. Must be something wrong at my end as it appear to work for the others...

Works on my imac buy it's pixelated and a bit choppy.

WMV and macs can be a bit hit and miss.

I put both quicktime and wmv on my sites and bought this to convert between the two: http://www.smartsoftvideo.com/

Not a lot of features on it but it worked for me.

You also have to put some code on the page to make them autorun, size correctly etc...

It is sacriligeous but I've tested Explorer v5.2 and that works. I've also tested Firefox v1.5.0.1 and that also works.
