  Thumbs up Advice Needed -

I am looking for a way to start a lead generating program for my affiliate position with VWD

However I only have access to the affiliate members site, I do not have access to the code.

What I intend to do is to pay a website owner per lead added to the VWD autoreponder. To track this I would open a brand new account and give the login details to the website owner. I would then give them the link to promote ( The £1000 Free Competition ) So we can both check the website and confirm the number of leads and then payment could be made.

So basically

Website owner promotes banner or email advert
New Lead reads/clicks and is taken to the VWD site
They enter their details and competition entry.
They confirm by clicking on the opt in email
Every 30 days the website owner is paid per lead shown on the VWD prospector.

Can I have some advice please if you think this is the best way to go or can you recommend another way.

I'm not very clear what you mean by your affiliate position.

It sounds like you want affiliates to join the program as members and then promote it. I don't know if that's what you mean, but personally, that would put me off at the start. Like most affiliates, I prefer to go through networks, rather than independent programs, so that's another issue.

I don't know what an autoreponder or a prospector are.

Like I said above I would open the new account for that particular merchant. We could then share login details and the affiliate could see exactly the number of people entered and confirmed and then I could send payment.

I am not looking for affiliates to join the program as elottery affiliates. I am looking for affiliates to join me as my affiliate of the £1000 competition if that makes sense! Its late!!

So you are looking for a fellow affiliate to partner with you in promoting the lottery merchant. You would share the revenue.

I have always liked the idea of a "buddy" system where by two hats are better then one approach. I am sure there maybe some affiliates out there that would want to go into partnership with you but I guess it’s down to trust, your website and the merchant’s conversions and so on. It’s a different approach and I like different. I suspect though, a few affiliates will be thinking "Why would I want half a pie, when I can have it all and promote the merchant myself?”. The competition is not really tempting cash either, I mean, if I am going to put in (X) @ £ per hour = £1k – tax = I would not be tempted really. Can anyone else think of a way that Lisa 1979 could do this?

Find something better to promote than VWD - I really do feel that it is one affiliate scheme which was good at the start but has now been done to death - every man and his dog (and probably every flea on the dog come to that!) - is now a VWD affiliate.

48% of the UK population play the UK Lotto weekly, so the market is still there for both online and offline promotion.

Once affiliates of the £1000 competition see the results that it brings me they might then be interested themselves in taking over that account and promoting it themselves...

Theres now a DVD VWD eLottery gift pack on offer where I would pay £25 for this pack to be sent. The receiver would then get 4 weeks free entry to play the UK Lotto and gets affiliate status if they wanted to promote it.

Maybe this is the way to go, offer free DVD gift packs to people I think would have the knowledge to do well.

What do you think

Lisa

OK - you obviously believe it works - but from reading your original post I'm still confused exactly what you're offering, if I am not becoming an e-lottery affiliate, what do I earn for getting someone to sign up to the £1000 competition?

You would be paid every person that you get to join. For example 15 - 20 Pence.

When they enter the £1000 Free Competition they start to receive 7 emails explaining the benefits of playing the Lotto this way. The conversion rate is pretty good, plus with the tracking system when these emails are sent out, you can see who exactly opened their emails, looked at the elottery site and what they then done. So the people who look at the site obviously have some interest and are great to follow up.

I can buy leads from eLottery that are added to the prospector but I wanted to try it myself and to see If I could get them cheaper
