Limit Bandwidth per Ip is it possible?

Any one know if its possible to limit an ip address on the amount of bandwidth they can have?

Its just that now we are becoming more established we are finding some ppl like to try and suck our whole site down to their desktop so instead of doing what we do now which is check logs ban anyone thats taken the pi55 (whats that erm anything over 100mb in one sitting is taking the piff in our view)

So is it possible or do we just have to live with the fact that we're getting noticed alot and theres muppets in this world

its proberly a a4u lurker no doubt

Also any ideas on ip location redirecting type thing-a-me jig sort of stuff as most of em come from the USA and are of no use to the site anyway

Cheers

I don't have the solution to this but as a lot of IP's are dynamically alocated by the isp's I'm not sure how useful banning an IP address would be, chances are when they next come back it will be a different IP anyway.

Unless US and other countries have more static IP's than not.

Simple we ban the whole isp range depending on who it is we dont really need USA traffic from little isps.

But weve found the one solution we were looking for anyway just got to give it a slap to get it going now
