Safe to Use php variables in Meta Tags

Hi All

I want to use php variables in my meta tags to define my keywords. Does anyone know if this can negatively impact seo performance as far as the search engines are concerned?

Please dont quote me on this , but as the php side of things is done before the user sees the page, the same is applicable to search engines, so the bot wont even know its php, it'll just see the resulting meta tag

It won't make any difference as the search engines just read the meta tags and can't see if they have been inserted from a database or not.
