  What course should I do

HI, need some advice. I want to do a course to learn some sort of web design/scripting etc and I was wondering what you think would be the most useful skill to learn - I know the basics of webdesign, (eg html) but would like to learn:

Using databases for web building, php, asp, xml, javascript etc - does anyone know any part time courses that would cover this sort of stuff?
Any advice appreciated

I would start by learning php and learning to add data to a MySql database.

I prefer to teach myself stuff and it's more than possible from the web:

You just have to have the dedication and enthusiasm.

I wouldnt bother with classes/courses etc theres plenty of forums that will answer your questions in minutes 24 hours of the day, give you free code examples and more advice then you would ever need or use.. so why bother going outside

Yeah Pete I wouldnt pay for classes mate, if you really want to learn though make sure you set aside at least the time you would have been at "School" and anytime you would have used for homework etc, find a nice quiet spot and set about learning at home!

I tried learning c++ in night classes and tbh it was agony waiting for help until the next week, so I set about learning it myself, by the end of week 3 I was so far ahead of the rest of the class (I had developed an mp3 tag reader with the ability to change the info - I was asking the teacher questions that he was struggling to answer ;p ) that I didn't bother going back.

Mark.
