Pop Up Script - which only show to visitor once

I am looking for a pop up ( pop over) script which will pop up to new visitors to get them to join my mailing list.
I want it to only show to a visitor once so maybe some way of checking with a cookie that they have seen it already.

Can anyone suggest a script.
