CSV File - Alphabetical

I've been sent a csv file, one is alphabetical by forename and there's a second column by surname, however I need the list in surname alphabetical order, it's a bleeding lot of work to do manually but I don't want to harass the merchant anymore, would someone be able to sort the csv file in surname order for me and then remove the second 'surname' column, leaving the first column of forename and surname in surname alpha order and intact and send it back, or is there some bit of free wizardry that I can do this in?

Ummm, Open in Excel, click on Surname go to Data, Click Sort, Click OK, Job done.

Make sure there are no empty rows in there. Remove the second colum by highlighting it (click on the letter at the top) then right click and select Delete.

Job done.

Sorted. I might have to get office, I've never been bothered before though.

I think James meant Open Office, a free alternative to Microsoft Office. The spreadsheet package is almost as good as Excel, you get used to it quite quickly.
