Re: Expression Engine - anyone used it?
Thanks guys, very handy.
What I want to use it for is a site that has a number of different types of content:
News
Contact directory
supliers directory
events
profiles
etc etc
also some document management
To do this, most of the other CMS systems I've used need modules built from the ground up. EE seems to be able to cope more easily with each category of information to have different fields without going back into the code & database to do it.
e.g. an event will have a date, a location, maybe something about facilities, some contact details. Internal contacts will have different fields from supplier contacts and so on.
I could do this myself in PHP and Mysql, but I want some other people to be able to contribute to the site, and coding the admin section is beyond me.
