On a test site with an older version of WordPress I have heavily customised it using several custom fields and it looks and works fantastically.
Now it comes to moving the working script to the site where I actually want it, I download WordPress which is the latest 2.3 or whatever it is, and none of the custom fields will save.
I can add them, but then it forgets them. Saving a post that has been published just seems to turn it into a draft post.
I've tried doing this on another installation that has the new version of WordPress and it does the same thing.
These are installed using 1-Click install, so I'm sure they must be fresh, uncorrupted packages.
Is there any explanation or advice? Looks like I might have to try and install an older version of WordPress that does remember the custom fields
I've wasted a whole night of trying to figure out why my super scripting (!) isn't working when the only thing that has changed is the version of WP used
