This is in responce to a question that jess put forward in another post. Given that this post was with reference to payment i thought it would be a good idea to start a new thread.

Hi Ya.. Question for Zanox UK

In light of CibleClicks departure from the UK, could you tell me what kind of commitment you have to remaining in the UK. What is your long term plans for UK? I feel that it would be really useful for your company to give us some background history and why you felt it was the right decision to launch a network in the UK rather then remain in the rest of Europe. I think there are a lot of networks out there and I would really like to hear from you how you differentiate from the other networks.

I would not like to speculate as to why Cibleclick have decided to withdraw from the UK market, though it is clear that companies like ourselves and tradedoubler are making significant progress in France. Perhaps this may be a contributing factor though it may also be cleaning the edges pending a buy out. In any case i am sure Cibleclick will comment on this in more detail in the future.

To start with i can give you a little lowdown of Zanox from where they started to where they are now. Zanox was started little over 5 years ago to establish themselves as a truly multichannel eccommerce marketing company. By using the words multichannel this incorporates PPC, PPV, PPL, and traditional PPS models. AS well as other programs like Zanox shop, Zanox email marketing and such activities. As you probably know Zanox is a German company and as such are the major network here in Germany, much like tradedoubler might be to the UK. As you can appreciate most large companies in the UK are also Pan-European and most of the programs we have to offer in the UK are purely down to the European contracts we have.

That said Zanox have for a number of years had several running programs in the UK and without marketing have 1800 signups to our affiliate programs in the UK of which about half of the numbers still have live banners across their advertising mediums, and about 10% are what we call active affiliates. The UK is nothing new to Zanox but it is the first time that Zanox have identified the UK as its prime focus for the coming years. As part of that focus they have aquired one lovely affiliate co-ordinator for the UK, which is errrmmm ME. As well as this newly sought offices in the UK are being furbished as we speak and we are currently compiling list of all the venues that we wish to attend this year.

Our main priority in the UK for the next years is to establish partners, If you have seen our company literature this is the sole focus of our company. In order to become in the UK what we are for most of Europe then we need to make special arrangements with the affiliates that do the business in the UK. Given that the affiliate has a wealth of schemes to promote in the UK already we know that we have a number of years work to do. From a corporate viewpoint we have been given a mandate from our investors that we are to establish ourselves in the UK, funding in the millions has already been deposited and we already have a foothold along with some happy affiliates.


Sooooooo, its all good saying that, but back to reality for a moment. As an affiliate using Zanox heres some things that i know you can expect from us.

1: Zanox tracking, it known throughout the industry that Zanox tracking is superior to other networks. So much so that some merchants actually use our tracking technology to track clicks and transactions through other networks. By switching some of your programs away from your existing network you will see that you will be rewarded for sales that otherwise you would of lost because the network did not offer cookie, session tracking and ip session tracking.

2: An actual genuine single contact for the UK, no emailing support tickets, for those that want a dedicated contact all they have to do is personal message me and i will sort you out with the contact with the most knowledge to your specific target area.

3: Actual training, if you want to start affiliate marketing and you really just dont know how to go about it then we will actually teach you if you want us to. We do not own any publishing houses of any kind, all our marketing is done by affiliates.

4: Personal propositions, I have a made a point this last month of contacting affiliates directly to see what i have to do to get their business. As the co-ordinator for the UK i can do what i like within reason. You give a me a suggestion that is worth while and i will try and make it happen, even if it rocks the boat. For those that cant make suggestions i will eventually catch up and make a few of my own to see how we can do a little transaction or two.

5: Safe payments, it is a condition of our scheme that all merchants prepay commissions to affiliates, this way there is never an instance of affiliates not getting paid, in any circumstance.

6: Common sense, it doesnt matter about the size of Zanox in relation to the UK, we know that the only way we are going to get anywhere is to do some hard work. For those who would like to work with me then i am here to help them. Its common sense that will make a difference in the long run, more so than any other point.


7: Once we are happy we have the team of affiliates, we will start to introduce them to merchants that are not available on public affiliate programs.



I hope the above wasnt too long winded, i think in effect zanox has been in the UK for a long period of time, all you are seeing now really is a concentrated effort to improve on what we already have. Not to establish ourselves. If anyone really wants to work with us and perhaps has any little point to discuss first then please pm me, i always answer.

Hi Zanox,

I hoping you could help me. I just had the jamster program in zanox approved but I'm not to sure which url I use for my google adwords ads.

I used to use Tradedoubler but I've now swapped over to use you guys. In T.D I used to go into the Link matrix and add the destination to the url in there and have that as my destination url in my ad.

Could you tell me which url I would now use in Zanox to add to the destination url so my clicks can be tracked.

I'm sure I'm just being blind and its right in front of me.

Go to program manager where you will see a list of the programs that you are signed up to, in the next column you will see link that says "code". Click on that and you will see a list of creative categories. If your literally just linking straight to merchant then you just want to take a text link and use the url within that.

When you see the creative you want just click on "code" and it will be displayed to you

Do you pay in Euro only and have I read the terms correct that I get charged euro 1.50 for each time you pay me less than euro 200.00 a month and if so can I say in my account don't pay me until I reach this amount... your already making money from the merchant to pay me, so I don't think as an affiliate I should have to pay you to get paid, if you know what I mean

Sorry, but all the german-ness of the site and instructions etc is very offputting and confusing for me as a UK affiate. (For a UK site there should be nothing in german on any pages except for an about us (written in enaglish - stating you are a german based company).

I dont understand where I put my sortcode for my bank account as I'd like to get paid by bacs transfer, and as Supercod said as earlier, are we going to be paid in Euros. I have a sterling GBP bank account and I don't really want to be paying ANY commissions on exchange rates and certainly not any commissions or handling charges for you making a payment on my account, although I am confident given a few more merchants I could break the E200 limit to avoid this. Could you clarify these on the board or pm me with a phone number so I can call you and you can talk me through my concerns.

The guy who usually sits behind this account won't be back until Monday but I hope I can help here.

Payments are made in Euro and only when you have reached the minimum payment amount which is at least 25 Euro for a British account. Users can choose a higher amount though. There won't be any deduction from us.

Since you're outside Germany it's best you enter your IBAN and BIC in the according fields under "Profile".

IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is an invention by the EU to identify a bank account EU-wide. BIC (Bank Identifier Code) is also known as SWIFT-code. Usually those two identifiers are supplied by your bank but it has come to our attention that especially in the UK banks do not share that information as openly as in Germany for instance.

If you don't know your IBAN and BIC/SWIFT please enter your bank address, your bank account number. The more information we have the smoother the bank transfer goes.

I hope this is enough information for now. It is planned to make this procedure more easy for you partners and us as well
