1) Changes to keyword buying policy *Very Important*


Jamster affiliates are allowed to:
- Buy keywords on PPC search engines such as Adwords, Overture, Espotting or any other kind of pay per search engines.
- Link and/or redirect to their OWN WEB SITE (No longer to Jamster Directly).

Jamster does not allow:
- keyword buying on pay per search engines with Adwords, Overture, Espotting or any other kind of pay per search engines using the brand name keywords 'Jamba' and/or 'Jamster'.
- linking and/or redirecting to the Jamster / Jamba websites with any keywords. Linking and/or redirecting through tracking links (partner links) is no longer allowed.
- using the words Jamba and/or Jamster in the ad text in any form.

In breach of these guidelines, Jamster retains the right to cancel the partnership with the affiliate.

Why the change?
This update is a direct response to recent changes in Google policy. PPC marketing is a core activity for Jamster! and we do not want to be competing against you directly. This way we can be totally fair and still keep your commission payouts high.

When is this update effective?
This is with immediate effect. We will be enforcing this ruling strongly in order to be fair to all partners. If you see any form of violation, please notify me immediately.

What are the alternatives?
We have worked hard to provide a solution which will minimise the impact of this changes. I am proud to announce new creative solutions which will enable you to quickly and easily build your own high quality landing pages (see additional announcement in this Newsletter).

Also, our White Label Solution will soon be a ‘fully operational battle station’. This will be the ultimate integration solution. White label is now in final Beta testing phase. It will allow you to plug full Jamster content straight into your site with full click-and-buy with farewell to click-and-bye traffic. Announcement of the launch will take place shortly.

2) Compensation payment and site update

The new release v.1_9 is live! It has some useful additions including:
-Flash popup pre-listener for all ringtones
-No mobile select needed for Polytones and colour wallpapers
-Improvements in flow and customer management


With the new release, we experienced some downtime on the Web site during March.
I know that this will have caused some loss of sales for many of you.
In order to remain fair I will increase all commission payouts for March to ensure that you have not lost out.

You will all receive an additional 10% payout for March.

(For example, if your normal commission is £10,000, you will now receive £11,000).
Thanks for your patience during some uncertain moments. Your feedback to me directly and on the forums has been very useful.

4) New Incentive for April

Now then… the chance for a bit of fun and also some serious money earning potential.

The Big Keyword Optimisation Challenge:

Selling well right now: The Best of Britian ringtones (A.k.a. Little Britian). I don't need to explain what Little Britain is, right? Yeah but, no but...

The challenge will be to optimise under the search term: "Little Britain Ringtones". I recommend deep-linking on your landing page to searches under "Best of Britain", "Lou and Andy" or "Vicky Pollard" etc.

On 30th April who ever is top on "UK only" Google will receive a great new MP3 player, and probably a lot of sales along the way too.

5) Crazy Frog remix, Sweety, Mr Chaos, Party Bee, what next?

The year so far has been impressive, with sales remaining strong. The Crazy Frog has been dominating the headlines, online and offline. He has
been featured across the web, on TV, radio shows and magazines. If you didn't hear Chris Evans play the Crazy Frog to Prime Minister Tony Blair, drop me a line, I will send you a link to the interview, it is hilarious.

New Mr. Chaos creatives will be online in the next two days. They look fantastic.

It's easy, just Wash and Go:

1. Copy the HTML-code
2. Paste the HTML-code to your HTML-page
3. Change the CSS parameters to change the look of the creatives

(Please don't change any of the other parameters)

Available parameters:

css_font_style - font style (e.g. Arial or Verdana)

css_font_size - you can change the font size of the text and links here (please use numbers, e.g. 11)

css_font_colour - font colour (hexadecimal e.g. 000099)

css_textDecoration - you can use css-Styles for 'text-decoration' (e.g. underline)

css_fontWeight - here you can choose bold, cursive or normal fonts (e.g. 'bold')

css_text_alingment - alingment of text and graphics (left, center, right)

css_background_colour - background colour of the advertisement material (hexadecimal, e.g. FFFFFF)

css_gauge_of_the_creative - total width of the creative in pixel

css_height_of_the_creative - total height of the creative in pixel

cut_after_character - to avoid word-wraps you can decide after how many characters the word-wrap is placed (e.g. 20)

numbering - show the numbering or not ("yes" or leave it empty for no)

css_border - border around the creative, all CSS-Styles are allowed (e.g. "1px solid")

css_border_color - border color (e.g. "FF7700")

speaker_colour - colour of the speakers (red, yellow, green, blue, brown, black, orange, light-green, light-blue, light-brown, grey)

number_of_columns - number of columns per line (e.g. 3)

number_of_lines - how many products one below the other (e.g. 5)
