Booted off Jamba for 6p bids

I partly agree with what Jamba PT is saying: those 12 year old kids search Google for "gratis toques", click on the Jamba ads and enter their phone number because they think it's free. When the phone bill arrives, their parents start calling operators and complaining. Then the operators complain to Jamba.

Jamba PT is of course doing wrong when they haven't added the word "gratis" to their negative keyword list.

That word must have a significant effect on the CTR and conversion ratio. I've had a campaign for Jamba PT and it wasn't worth it. What if I removed the word "gratis" from my negative keyword list? I'm sure I'd had more sales...

Its not a case of them not have Gratis as a negative keyword... they have got the actual keywords GRATIS TOQUES as keywords, i know this because its showing in there ad when you type those keywords in a search.

If they were just bidding on Toques, and someone typed Gratis Toques, then only Toques would appear at the top of there ad.

"Gratis Toques" as keywords very rarely gets typed in via google.pt... add them to your campaign, and you will see exactly haw many times its searched for.

If you think they are bothered about 12 year old kids thinking they are getting a free ringtone.. then why have this page?

The problem they had with my domain name was that it meant free ringtone(s), and not free ringtone, yeah, i can see what they are getting at, but as i said before, if its ok for them to have them as keywords in there ads, why isnt it ok for me to have them in my domain name?

If im being misleading then they are also.... this is my point.

First of all Anne is ver kind person. If she ever gives you any bad answer its probably because of you.

Other than that

i made 18k sales on september and 15k on october.

as my knowledge i am the biggest guy in there and i can easily say there is really no next level. Even you make 30k what they offer is 2.2(0.2 more)

other than that, i think jamba portugal totally sucked this month.

The first time i got booted was for having English words in my ad.
(I did the alterations and they let me back in.)

I was on track for over 1000 sales a month so i asked about the next level of commission.
(The reply was that i needed a minimum of 30,000 sales a month!!.. yes 30,000 )... basicly the answer was.. no go away!

I asked about a free ringtone banner like on jamster uk.
(The reply was ..."No, we will get in trouble off the operators"

I replied with.. "Thats fine, but you do have a free ringtone page, i just wanted to link to it??"
(The reply was in BOLD) "Again...No, we will get in trouble off the operators"

Then i got told to lower or remove my main keywords as mentioned above.
(I lowered them and they fell into 2nd and 3rd place), but Jamba pt still says that they are still appearing above there ads, even though my google account said they were position 2.... very odd???

Today i got another email from Jamba saying that i had to remove those keywords or use another display url which would attract a less CTR.
(So i removed the keywords)

Then immediately afterwards i was told then i couldnt use the domain name as it was "Misleading"

This domain name was 'GratisToques.com" -- ie Free Ringtones.

Fair enough, but if they think its misleading why didnt they say that initially, and why are they still using the keywords Gratis Toques' in there PPC ads?

One things for sure... she certainly doesnt like me.. or maybe just affiliates, or English people... or just people

Yes mate, i totaly agree, it ws me after all.

I see now that writing my ad in English does deserve being booted.
I shouldnt have asked for a free banner link
I shouldnt have asked for info on a next commission level.
I shouldnt have have known my CTR would place my ad at the top (through the night when i was in bed)
I should have known having a domain name 'free ringtones' would be misleading to advertise 'free ringtones'

or perhaps you think my emails to Anne were nasty in anyway to get such replies?

If you want to know my emails were nothing but polite, and i did everything she told me to do without any sort of argument what so ever...

Im not saying she is unkind.. im saying she doesnt like me one little bit, which is fine.... i dont expect everyone in the world to like me.

I got on with Matt from Jamster fantasticly well, he even invited me on the Malorca trip earlier this year, so he thought i was ok... some people just dont get on, and thats how life is.

I have just been talking to Anne on the phone, and yes, she is a nice person to talk to, and she doesnt hate me after all

The problem was just that i took Annes emails personaly (which i shouldnt have done), this is because i take the Jamba / Jamster programs very seriously, i take months designing new websites, i dont just throw up one page sites like a lot of other ringtone affiliates which are disposable when something goes wrong, so when im told im braking the rules for doing something which wasnt intentional i took it harder than most.

Annes emails were 'to the point but fair for the rules which she has to work by', but the problem with emails & *forum posts* (unlike on the phone), is that they can be mis-understood very easily, which seems to be the case with emails i received and emails i sent.

Rules are rules and it seems i was bending them slightly too far. (unintentionally ofcourse), but they are there for a reason.. and thats to be broke... erm i mean followed

In future i think ill not use email, but use the phone instead.
