Invoicing Zanox for VAT?

I am trying to 'authorise' my very first payment for Zanox and have given them my VAT number - however when I get to the authorisation page the invoice does not list VAT but only the net amount. Is this right? Will VAT be added on?

I would have contacted Zanox but they dont seem to have a affiliate contact page or support system?

Hi Barry

When I questioned this, here is what they told me...

The turnover they generate with us are miscellaneous services.

The place of this services is outside Germany and that's why not German VAT is generated.

He is liable for VAT according to clause 21 section 1b of the 6th EG-Directive.

I think I handle Zanox in the same way as Amazon Associates (who are based in Luxemburg).

How did you interpret it? Does it mean we don't get VAT on the invoice?

That's what I thought at the time

I interpret that there is no VAT included on payments and I'm including it in box 8 of the VAT form, along with Amazon Associates commission. Then adding both to the EC Sales List form.

I'm only 50% confident in doing this however so I would get more advice.

I am due to finish my flat rate VAT soon so I will save the payments up until I am not on a flat rate then.
