  1. INTRODUCTION Leadbay is a well respected, innovative company focused on developing new business models across different business sectors on the internet to generate profits for growth and for supporting charitable work. The company has a defined values statement to operate in an ethical manner. Leadbay is committed to the people that make up the company.
    As the Lead Generation and Affiliate Manager (LGAM), you will have the responsibility for maintaining and improving relationships with existing internet affiliates and increasing the quality and quantity of sales leads into the company from a variety of sources. You will have a high degree of decision-making autonomy and will be measured against pre-defined, agreed targets. These will be set with you to combine company objectives for growth and profit together with individual aspirations.
    You will initially oversee leads for financial services products into Leadbay, although this is likely to increase to other sectors. Leadbay is a business-to-business internet solution that categories leads and allows pre-registered brokers to bid for those leads by precise categories. Leadbay operates with a wide variety of lead categories including mortgage, debt, loan, PMI, PPI and Life leads and is constantly expanding into other financial products.
    As LGAM you will work closely within the management team and the directors of the company and will be expected to be proactive in helping to grow the company with particular focus on lead generation. You will need to be hands-on in quickly comprehending and carrying out marketing and technical tasks and understand the corresponding implications on the business and its financial figures. You will also need good commercial skills, the ability to generate innovative ideas for new ways of generating leads and the tenacity to follow through to achieve results.

  2. ROLE • Generate ideas, spot opportunities and convert these into leads that feed into Leadbay’s business models and systems. • Understand the wider market for the area under investigation and conduct research into opportunities for lead generation. • Develop new partners for lead generation. • Development of the strategic direction of the product area in the marketplace. • Develop and market partner lines and opportunities. • Understand the product area at business and technical levels. • Be the main driving forces for the on-going development of the area. • Be a key communicator, generating enthusiasm and results, plans and ideas around the company.

  3. RESPONSIBLE TO You will be reporting to the Managing Director.
    The company also has a policy of conducting Performance and Development Reviews on a regular basis. You will be allocated an appraiser.

  4. RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist in the setting of revenue targets for Leadbay • Be proactive in searching for lead generation opportunities, including tenancy agreements and off-line (non-internet) marketing and advertising for lead generation • Be an advocate for encouraging long term partnerships where the business model adopted creates value for both companies • Assist in the setting up of new partners including assisting the implementation of contractual partnership agreements which outline the responsibilities and obligations of both parties. • Develop and transfer knowledge about your area to others. • Resolve conflicts and tackle issues and problems in a proactive way to ensure that internal and external resources operate effectively and efficiently

  5. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES • Well presented and able to present ideas and influence decision making at different levels of organisations and on a one-to-one basis. Good corporate client-facing presentation and communication skills. • Experience of the Financial Services market and lead generation. • Confident. • Deliver on promises and deadlines. • A learning attitude which listens and encourages others to contribute with ideas. • Know when to escalate issues – a good communicator. • Able to work on own initiative and also able to be a good team-player. • Good business and commercial skills, to be target oriented and cost conscious to create profits, including external partners and resources. • Methodical approach to business and development including good documentation skills. • Able to learn quickly both at a business process level and also at a technical/IT level. • Well organised, flexible and multi-skilled. • Knowledge of small businesses and some knowledge of financial services would be useful. • Fully literate with basic software IT and web tools and standard MS Office products.

  6. OTHER INFORMATION This role is a proactive one where the individual is expected to be self-motivated and proactive as a key member of a small, growing company. You will be given wide-ranging responsibilities and the authority to carry these out. You will also be expected to be very “hands-on” and competent with business and technical work in a small business environment.
