Consumerchoices.co.uk is a rapidly growing company of 40 staff based in Central London. The commercial team is an exciting environment where staff can learn quickly and have the chance to develop their own ideas. Members of the commercial team need to have strong communication skills, an attention to detail and a willingness to “roll up your sleeves”.
Consumerchoices.co.uk is the UK’s number 1 comparison site for fixed line residential communications services (broadband, home phone and digital TV packages).
The role: Reporting to the Senior Account Manager; the role is a varied and broad, with hands on involvement in commercial relationships and product development. The account manager will also have requirements to take a hands on role with products tariffs updates, content uploads and IT testing.
The objective of the role is to maximise profit and revenue for each respective product area, by doing the following: • Improving commercials terms from advertisers / suppliers • Strategic development of products to maximise customer experience, ultimately increasing visitor to sales conversion rates • Securing special offers promotions from suppliers to support the online marketing and partner teams in their efforts to increase traffic
Responsibilities:
Account Management • Develop strong relationships with provider account contacts (provider direct / affiliate network / media agencies) by regular contact via telephone, e-mail and in person • Present, negotiate and sell initiatives to account contacts that will enhance commercial position for Consumerchoices.co.uk • Supporting Search, Partner, Email and PR teams with marketing ideas, special offer promotions and analytical data to help decision making
Product Development • Show leadership and ownership in championing new developments to the web-sites • Analyse user behaviour and market statistics to develop business case for product developments • Write functional specification to provide IT team with blueprint for taking product enhancements from design to live • Support IT in new web-site developments with IT testing supporting
Product Management • Maintain the product management systems and tariffs for Broadband, Home phone Digital TV ISP partners • Conduct daily uploads to reporting system • Meet monthly profit targets, providing daily and monthly revenue, cost and profit reports on a timely basis
Requirements: You will need to be proactive, well-organised, highly detailed with excellent communication skills. An analytical mind, computer literacy and strong Excel skills are essential.
The ideal candidate will have: • 2:1 degree in business, economics or marketing or equivalent • Proven online marketing experience • Experience of working within an agency or in house affiliate account management capacity
