Affiliate Manager

An Affiliate Manager is key to the success of MediaCom’s affiliate marketing channel. They will manage a number of affiliate programmes on a day-to-day basis as well as supporting the Head of Affiliates across a range of tasks – research, competitive analysis, new business pitches and the implementation and management of affiliate programme strategies. Close monitoring of campaign delivery, performance and optimisation, combined with a gradual education of both the technology that drives the affiliate market and the wider goals of media will form the core of this role. An affiliate executive will also work closely with Planner/Buyers across a range of media channels developing knowledge and skills on all media.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Account Management
•    Day-to-day management of a number of affiliate programmes  
•    Manage affiliate network partners, affiliates and aggregators
•    Collate and deliver reports/presentations to clients (with assistance from Planner/Buyer)
•    Become a key member of the client team
•    Attend and manage client meetings

Media Strategy, Planning/Buying
•    Ensure smooth implementation and delivery of campaigns, alerting other team members at the outset of any under delivery or questionable data.
•    Become proficient in managing and optimising all aspects of affiliate marketing programmes.
•    Take charge of delivering weekly/monthly reporting requirements and learn to write informative insight to support the data.
•    Have a complete knowledge and expertise with all major affiliate platforms.
•    Have a complete knowledge and expertise with DoubleClick/Atlas ad serving systems
•    Interpret media data and provide recommendations for ongoing improvements
•    Use tools to build competitive landscape reports, as well as other general market research
•    Liaise with media owners where necessary
•    Demonstrate initiative to help out the team across accounts.

People Management
•    Provide constant support for the Head of Affiliates
•    Provide support, development and management to the Affiliate Executives

Development
•    Develop an understanding of your role in terms of the wider planning process
•    Start to develop all areas of communications: writing, presentation, telephone 
•    Start to develop understanding of the digital and direct marketing mix
•    Become expert at all the tools & systems within the agency
•    Continue on-the-job training and workshops and internal/external training sessions

Candidates should have at least 2 years experience in affiliate marketing - network, agency or client side.
