Off the Record - 5th March 2010

Sales in aftershaves had risen sharply, almost by 46%, following the news that Digital Window had acquired buy.at. One of our reporters told us the reasoning behind this:

"Reported a few years ago as the 'beautiful' network, 22 buy.at staff moved into the Digital Window offices on Tuesday, where deskspace was cleared impressively quickly and new aromas began to effervesce. I think it's Jean Paul Gaultier, but i'm not sure."

In other news, the a4uAwards Nominations were closed at the beginning of the week, and the awards team set to prepraring the shortlist. However, after speaking to the awards team, I can confirm that the 'best blog' award for 2010 will not be going to 'egotastic', despite the 3 votes it received. I won't tell you who it was who voted for this blog, but I can tell you one of them wasn't someone who recently left the employee list of a popular UK Network. Oh, wait...

Whilst we're on the subject of the a4uAwards, I have this statement to read from the awards team:

"No! For the last time, Roy Walker is not going to be the host of this year's a4uAwards."

Not sure who's been repeatedly emailing and asking Mr Wood to consider this, but he didn't just sell one of his old websites for quite a bit of dosh. :)

Finally, the Affiliates4u website has been subject to a major redevelopment. When asked for comments on the new version, Matthew Wood simply stated "I'm never looking at another pizza again."
